Hip dip fat transfer

Hip Dips Fat Transfer In Gainesville, FL

Hip dip fat transfer is a specialized cosmetic procedure, designed to flatten the natural indentations where the leg meets the hip. During this procedure, Dr. David Mateo de Acosta will use specialized liposuction to remove unwanted fat from the abdomen, thighs, or flanks. This excess fat is then added to the hip dip indentations, creating a smoother, more proportional silhouette.

Hip lift treatment is designed to create thigh gaps and correct unwanted hip dips. During surgery, Dr. David Mateo de Acosta expertly removes fat from the hips and upper thighs while also tightening the remaining muscle and skin tissue, in order to create a sculpted, fit appearance you can feel confident in.

When you schedule an in-person consultation for hip dip treatment, Dr. David Mateo de Acosta will meet with you to thoroughly discuss your aesthetic goals, anatomy, and medical history. Dr. David Mateo de Acosta will also take this time to identify potential donor sites and to address any questions you may have. You will also be fitted for your complimentary compression garment at this time.

On the day of your surgery, you will be greeted by our friendly staff. Dr. David Mateo de Acosta will then apply surgical markings to the donor and transfer sites. These markings will serve as a reference guide during the procedure. Dr. David Mateo de Acosta will provide you with general and local anesthesia for your comfort.

First, a small incision will be made at the donor site. A thin tube, known as a cannula, is carefully inserted into the incision. The cannula is connected to a suction device. Dr. David Mateo de Acosta will use this cannula to loosen and suction out unwanted fat.

Once complete, the excess fat is processed and purified before it is injected into the hip dips.

Hip dip fat transfer is an outpatient surgery. Patients will need a friend or family member to drive them home following the treatment. Be prepared to take 1-2 days off after the procedure to rest and recuperate. Normal activities can be resumed after.

Minor soreness and bruising is common for about 1-2 weeks after the surgery. Pain medication can be used to treat these symptoms. Dr. David Mateo de Acosta recommends wearing the supplied compression garment for 24 hours after the procedure to minimize swelling and promote healing.
